my kids eat green.
Every night they face some sort of green thing on their plates
Different greens get different reactions. There might be a little moan accompanied with, "Ahh not peas" or "I don't like broccoli"
But sometimes when it is cucumber or snow peas, or salad leaves,
a little mouth opens.
A fork loaded with green is raised.
The green goes in.
The mouth chews.
Then swallows,
and the mother is happy.

Well it makes up for all that cake I have let them eat.

I hear you sister! ;)
Green is not a happy colour so why is it so good for us? It amazes me that there are not more riots in your place. There were when I was a child and green was certainly an anathema. Not that childish curses then did me much good. However I am happy with green today.
Robyn, your blog is so clever and creative.
Hope you are doing well over on the south side! We miss you at Bridge Street. Maisie in a Year1/2 composite class and loving it mostly. Pat in straight Year 2 class and getting very big and mature.
Say hi to Blake from us too.
