About

Hello,

I first became a Mum at 35 and have found my memory to be deteriorating ever since. When I turned 40 I started to care a lot less about what other people think. It seemed logical to start this blog, Chapter Forty. Not only to help me remember this wonderful journey with little children at my feet, but to also act as a record for them.

I have worked as a copywriter for over ten years, but choose to work less to be with my kids. I can only do this because of my hardworking husband. Chapter Forty helps me keep my hand in my writing pocket, while I express my wonder of motherhood.

Parenting is by far the hardest, yet most rewarding job I have ever had. Children seem to totally refocus your life, they require a lot of food and make an awlful lot of mess. I have found that my children are so much a part of me, yet I cannot control them at all. They are ever-changing growing beings who I find endlessly interesting. My love knows no boundaries for them and they are the only ones in this world who can call me Mum.

Thank you for reading Chapter Forty and joining us on the journey.
