It doesn't take much

The world is like a wonderland to children. Their fresh eyes see things we take for granted as amazing. I get so much pleasure from their enjoyment of simple things.

Lets take the washing machine as an example. I hate washing, it's an endless thankless job that I never finish, but B and Little Miss just love the washing machine. B loves the fast spin cycle that sounds as if the machine is about to launch off into outer space, the clothes turn into a blur of colour as they wind up for the last spin. Little Miss likes a slower pace to point out which clothing belongs to who as it tumbles around before her eyes.

A front loader where you can see the washing as it washes has been a really great purchase.

Oh - I'm quite happy to sit and watch the washing machine too you know ;-) It's filling it up and emptying it out that bother me!!

I'm so loving this post! I was like that when I was a small child. I would get myself a small chair and sit in front of the front loading window and watch till the washing is done. My mum used to drag me away but I would cry nonstop until I was back to my spot. Thank you for bringing back some wonderful childhood memories. ;)

Your children do have a delightful expression on the faces.
Ahhh you be young and excited by simple pleasures. That is one of the reasons I love spending the day with Joseph one day a week, on that day I get to be a child again. :-)

What a great post and a really lovely photo of your children. We recently got a front loader and I have to admit my husband and I sat and watched for a bit. We don't do it now. Honest. ;)
