One teen

While happily counting one day, I listened with interest to Little Miss, wondering where she would stop.
"One
two
three
four
five
six
seven
eight
nine
ten
oneteen
fourteen
sixteen" and she stopped.



"That is fantastic counting Little Miss" I said

I just love the logic and thinking behind oneteen. She knows the pattern and it should be oneteen. Where did eleven come from anyway?
